Be driven by what excites you most, not by what others expect of you. Let go of the need for validation from others. Don’t overlook goals that will support a happier life.
- Shake up stagnant thinking by finding new sources of stimulation. Be open to new ways of doing things, even in your area of expertise. Allow yourself to fail in the process of learning and growing.
- Approve of yourself. Your limitations may just be in your mind.
- See the good. Assume that others mean well.
- Get your needs met. We’re often unwilling to ask what we need. Ask for help.
- Take smart risks. Research potential outcomes and determine what your chances of success are. Evaluate whether the payoff is worth risking the harm that could be done.
- Clear up unresolved matters. Address issues from your past with yourself or others that are holding you back.
- Choose happiness. Being happy is not about circumstances, it’s a decision.
- View life as a journey. Look forward to new and unfamiliar experiences.
Success traditionally has been defined in terms of money and power. However, the paradox of success is by focusing on fulfilment (and not success) you become successful.
Take the time to invest in an extraordinary life by knowing what is important and valuable to you.
