We’ve all got dreams. Some big. Some small. And the exciting news is that over the new three months, Fedhealth is going to help some of our members make their fitness dreams come true.

We recently invited the Fedhealth community to submit their reasons for wanting to achieve a fitness dream related to the Sanlam Cape Town Marathon events (a 10km race, a 12km trail run and a full marathon), and we were blown away by the responses! We thought we’d only choose three people, but the popularity of this initiative means that we’ve added on an extra three – so we’ll now be helping six people chase their dreams, from marathon runners to wannabe trail runners, and a few self-confessed coach potatoes too!

Our six Fedhealth Dream Chasers will receive the support they need to line up on 14 and 15 September at their chosen Sanlam Cape Town Marathon race. We’ve already introduced them to their running coaches and dietician, and their training programmes have kicked off in earnest.

Want to see how they’re going? Keep an eye on our social media platforms in the coming months – including some videos of our Johannesburg Dream Chasers in action too.

After all, health and wellness is so much easier to achieve if we do it as a community. And with a dramatic increase in the number of people suffering from lifestyle-related health conditions, it’s clear that as a country we need to start making physical and mental wellness more of a focus.

So, let’s rally around our Dream Chasers, be inspired by their actions, and maybe it will inspire you too to take that first step in achieving your fitness dream, no matter how big or small.
